COMMUNICATIONS

YEARBOOK

Chair: Josh Ralls

This committee produces an annual Stonegate Elementary yearbook available for purchase by students and staff, and delivered in June. The yearbook features every class, specialist, and school group. It also highlights other activities that occur during the school year.

ROOM PARENT COORDINATOR

Chair: Open

Room parents are the option of each teacher. Depending on the needs of each teacher, they usually help the teacher schedule other classroom volunteers to help with things like reading, math, copying, or party planning. The Room Parent Coordinator coordinates all the room parents. He/she provides information to the room parents and works with them to obtain volunteer support within each classroom for different PTA programs (e.g., Hawk Run, Red Ribbon Week, Staff Appreciation Week, etc.).

VP of Communications: Kathy Lau

This position is a part of the Executive Board

VP of Communications is responsible for the PTA Newsletter, Hawk Highlights, the printing of school signage for events and social media accounts including Facebook and Instagram. This position should maintain the PTA website to make sure information is current. The PTA website includes information about what the PTA is, how it fundraises, the programs it supports, contact information, forms, Legislative updates, a calendar, and links to our regular e-newsletters.

Please note: Committee Chairpersons are appointed by the elected Executive Board. The Nominating Committee cannot nominate chairpersons, but would like to collect names of interested PTA members in order to help the new Board fill these positions.
