What is Reflections?

PTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home. Each year, students in preschool through high school are invited to create and submit works of art in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and the visual arts.

Every year there is a new theme for the competition, which is usually chosen from student suggested ideas. This year's theme is  "I Will Change the World By…" which will spark imagination, creativity, tap into their critical thinking skills, and provide them an outlet to express themselves while having fun.

Entries from Stonegate Elementary will be judged primarily on how well the student uses his or her artistic vision to portray the theme, originality and creativity.  The top entry from Stonegate Elementary for each category and each age division will go on to be judged in the Regional PTA Reflections Program which encompasses all schools in the Irvine Unified School District.

Who Can Participate?

All Stonegate students can participate. The three age divisions that students will compete in at Stonegate Elementary are:

• Primary: Kindergarten - Grade 2
• Intermediate: Grades 3 - 5
 Middle School: Grades 6 – 8
• Special Artist*: All grades welcome

* Special Artist is an option for students with disabilities who receive services under IDEA or ADA.
